PBTI: tHE PRO BONO TRAINING INSTITUTE

The Pro Bono Training Institute (PBTI) brings together California’s nonprofit and private legal sectors to develop online trainings with the goal of standardizing training throughout the state.

PBTI provides free online learning to teach pro bono attorneys about a variety of practice areas affecting low-income clients. Through these trainings, we seek to enable greater access to the civil justice system by growing the number of attorneys able to assist people in need. By increasing collaboration, promoting adult learning best practices, and using a single training platform, the Pro Bono Training Institute makes equal justice a reality.

The Pro Bono Training Institute was created by Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, OneJustice, and Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles. It was made possible by the Legal Services Corporation’s Pro Bono Innovation Fund and continues to thrive through the commitment of its collaborative partners.
