Thank you for your interest in and concern for the communities in Butte and the surrounding areas as they begin the long road to recovery after the devastating wildfires. OneJustice is maintaining this webpage to provide information about how you can support on-the-ground legal aid providers and information for attorneys interested in providing pro bono work for the affected communities.

If you are a survivor of the wildfires and need legal help, please call the hotline for Butte County at 1-800-345-9491, visit the website for the California State Bar, or visit LawHelpCA.org.
We also encourage you to consult the California Wildfires Helping Handbook, a guide produced by Morrison and Foerster LLP that contains practical information on some of the issues that individuals and small businesses may face in the aftermath of a disaster, including FEMA assistance, insurance, housing, replacement of lost documents, fraud prevention, immigration, and more. It can be accessed at www.mofo.com/fall2018-wildfires and is available in Spanish and English.
