Why I work at OneJustice

I joined OneJustice to advocate for access to justice through an intersectional approach to addressing the legal needs of our community members. I strongly believe in the mission of OneJustice to grow and strengthen the legal services sector and strive toward social change. I love the collaborative nature of the organization’s work and the culture, as well as the commitment to growth, cultural humility, and anti-racism.

Coming from the high-volume, direct services context, I am excited to connect with and support my colleagues across the sector!

Professional Background:

Prior to joining OneJustice, I provided free, direct immigration legal services to undocumented and mixed-status students and families in the University of California system through the UC Immigrant Legal Services Center at UCLA, and previously, at UCSB. I became involved with undocumented student advocacy during law school through Berkeley Law’s International Human Rights Law Clinic. I have also had the opportunity to work with refugees, asylum-seekers, unaccompanied children, and youth in the juvenile justice system.

I have spent most of my adult life in the UC system, where I have worked since attending Berkeley Law. I also completed my undergraduate education at UC San Diego.

I really love…

spending time with loved ones, being in the sun, walking/hiking for hours on end, and cooking
