OneJustice Executive Fellowship graduates stay in legal aid.
They are prepared, resilient, and ready to face real-world challenges head-on. While the national turnover rate for legal aid leadership sits at 35%, OneJustice Executive Fellows consistently beat the odds—75% staying in their roles longer and leading with greater resilience and vision.
Our 10-month leadership intensive is designed to help you:
- Grow foundational skills in nonprofit management and governance, best practices, crisis management, and strategic thinking.
- Master executive leadership through a collaborative, peer-driven learning experience.
- Build connections and foster partnerships with leaders across the legal aid sector.
Participants learn from expert facilitation and peer learning within their cohort.
Program participants also work on an individual capstone project tackling an issue specific to their role and the distinct needs of their organization.

Get to Know the 2026 Leaders
Our 2025–2026 class represents a rich diversity of geography, backgrounds, and practice areas. While 30 fellows hail from all corners of California, including both urban and rural communities, 10 fellows in this year’s cohort join us from Illinois, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, and Washington. Fellows include Chief Executive Officers, Executive Directors, executive managers, litigation directors, development and communications directors, and pro bono directors.
