Director of Finance
Why I work at OneJustice:
I appreciate how OneJustice ambitiously and holistically strengthens California’s legal aid system. We combine policy advocacy with best practices and technical support to help legal services nonprofits become resilient and grow.
Chris directs OneJustice’s financial processes including accounting, budgeting, and assessing the organization’s overall financial health and revenue model. He also supports the Healthy Nonprofits Program, providing expertise in nonprofit finance and management to OneJustice’s social justice client community. Over the last five years, he has led numerous strategic planning processes, executive director evaluations, and board governance workshops for legal aid nonprofits across the state.
Chris has several years of experience training and advising legal aid nonprofits in their financial strategy, governance, and vision/identity thinking. Before coming to OneJustice, he served as an Attorney at Disability Rights Legal Center in the Los Angeles HIV Law and Public Policy Project. There, he managed direct legal services and assisted with impact litigation before the Los Angeles County Superior Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He holds a political science degree from Amherst College, law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an active license to practice law in California.
I really love:
I love the Outer Richmond and Land’s End. They are my favorite parts of San Francisco hands down. I probably walk the Land’s End Trail every other weekend!
