OneJustice seeks a full-time senior staff member. Salary and title will depend on level of
experience. This position will provide expertise, support and leadership in one or more
programmatic areas, including: organizational leadership; governance; strategy; impact;
pro bono; diversity; equity; inclusion; organizational talent; culture; policy; and
advocacy. OneJustice offers training, resources, coaching, and consulting to the boards and
staff of legal services nonprofits and the pro bono community.
California residence is required, and remote work is permitted. Occasional travel within
California may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide expert consulting, training, and coaching services to the staff and boards of
California legal services nonprofits and the pro bono community on topics such as:
organizational leadership; governance; strategy; impact; pro bono; diversity;
equity; inclusion; organizational talent; culture; policy; and advocacy (the
specific areas of consulting, training, and coaching will depend on expertise and
programmatic needs)
● In collaboration with the CEO and OneJustice staff, ensure OneJustice’s capacity-
building work is aligned with its strategic plan, including evaluation of work,
development of priorities/goals/objectives and implementation of best practices
● Supervise, mentor, and support the professional development of team members and
foster an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive work culture
● Identify funding opportunities, cultivate/steward funders, and ensure compliance with
grant reporting
● Act as an ambassador for OneJustice and its programs with external stakeholders
and funders
Qualifications (required):
● An equity mindset (awareness of the inequities that exist at multiple levels from the
personal to the systemic) and demonstrated commitment to the values of diversity,
equity, and inclusion
● Project management experience with demonstrated ability to deliver results
● Strong commitment to the professional development of staff
● Emotional intelligence and a problem-solving approach
● Commitment to legal aid/public interest work
● Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of internal and external
stakeholders
● Outstanding presentation and communication skills
Qualifications (preferred):
● Senior Program Manager title: B.A./B.S. degree with 8 or more years of post-
undergraduate experience
● Senior Attorney title: J.D degree with 4 or more years of post-graduate experience
● Director title: B.A./B.S. degree with 12 or more years of post-undergraduate
experience OR J.D./graduate degree with 8 or more years of post-graduate
experience
● Experience in one or more of the following areas: organizational leadership;
governance; strategy; impact; pro bono; diversity; equity; inclusion; organizational
talent; culture; and policy; advocacy
Salary and Benefits:
● Salary and title will depend on level of experience. Senior Program Manager salary
range is $86,000-$92,000. Senior Attorney salary range is $91,500-$97,500. Director
salary range begins at $108,500 and increases based on years of relevant
experience.

Open Position: Leadership/Exec Fellow VISTA Associate
Objective
The Leadership and Executive Fellowship VISTA Associate at OneJustice will be part of a small team dedicated to increasing access to quality legal aid and supporting diversity and skill-building for hundreds of legal aid nonprofit leaders. The associate will help develop and implement trainings, cohorts, and research.
Responsibilities:
- Strategize and coordinate with the Leadership and Executive Fellowship team to plan annual training for non-profit civil legal aid staff and leaders in the sector.
- Support the team in creating internal and external training and information content including writing, videos, and course materials.
- Participate in programmatic activities, support in-person meetings and cohorts, and help evaluate program efficacy.
- Monitor and respond to cohort and training inquiries and registration.
- Create and disseminate course materials, resources, and fellowship program work and information.
- Be a thought partner in strategizing for best practices and outcomes for the Executive Fellowship cohort and other trainings offered to legal aid nonprofits.
- Assist in communications, access, registration, and in-person administration for training and cohort events, team builders, technical assistance, and other programmatic activities.

Objective
The OneJustice Pro Bono Justice VISTA Associate will be part of a small team, tasked with developing and implementing trainings and cohorts. The role involves helping legal aid organizations build capacity using pro bono volunteers, supporting diversity and skill-building for hundreds of legal aid pro bono leaders, and joining OneJustice to expand legal aid access and close the justice gap..

- Strategize and coordinate with the Pro Bono Institute, pro bono training, and pro bono conference team to plan annual training for pro bono volunteers, managers, and leaders in the sector.
- Support the team in creating internal and external training and information content including writing, videos, and course materials.
- Coordinate programmatic activities, support in-person meetings, conferences, and cohorts, and help evaluate program efficacy.
- Work with the Pro Bono Training Institute (PBTI) to assist with the creation of online training modules for pro bono volunteers.

Open Position: Communications VISTA Associate
Objective
The Communications VISTA Associate will be part of a small team at OneJustice. The primary goal of this role is to develop and implement communications, content, and strategy to help the organization increase access to quality legal aid, support hundreds of legal aid nonprofits and pro bono partners, and advocate for expanded legal aid access and closing the justice gap.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategize with the Development and Communications team to plan an annual communications strategy to showcase and increase access to OneJustice’s programmatic work.
- Create internal and external communications content including writing, videos, and photos through social media, internal information networks, the OneJustice website, and direct communications.
- Implement the annual communications plan and evaluate the success of the plan, finding opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor and respond to social media interaction.
- Create and publish communications content across all communications networks.
- Be a thought partner on the development and communications team.
- Assist in communications, access, and in-person administration for Pro Bono Conference event, team builders, training cohorts, and annual gala event.
